In association with my fellow founder and sponsor, Dr. David Young, of Young Orthodontics in San Carlos, I am pleased to announce that registration is now officially open for San Carlos Treasure Hunters 2011, Terror in the Canyon.  This is the 5th Anniversary of San Carlos Treasure Hunters.  In recognition of our five-year anniversary, we have taken a “dark” turn this year and have many new surprises and and challenging elements for this year’s hunt.
Please note this event is capped at the first 50 teams to successfully register.  San Carlos Treasure Hunters has hit capacity within the first two weeks of the opening day of enrollment.
San Carlos Treasure Hunters is an annual event which allows San Carlos youth, ages 10-14, to embark on a fast paced treasure hunt through The City of Good Living.  Teams of three, and at least one Supervising Parent per team, prepare for the hunt by studying San Carlos Stories, by Linda Garvey…..which details a full history of our town.  Teams also carefully examine treasure hunter documents and walk each park located in San Carlos, as all are fair game for clue locations.  The first team to successfully discover all ten clue location sites and the final treasure chest location, will win the contents of the treasure chest and have their names engraved on the San Carlos Treasure Hunters Champions Trophy, which will be on display in the San Carlos History Museum
Don’t delay….click here to be taken to the new, fully interactive, San Carlos Treasure Hunters 2011 site!
