West of El Camino, North of Brittan Avenue, South of San Carlos Avenue and East of Alameda, you will find Howard Park. Often called “San Carlos Central” because of the inclusion of Burton Park, the North end of Laurel Street and countless single family homes in between. Some of its more famous streets such as Eucalyptus and Birch provide a Halloween-Mardi Gras experience on October 31st, and a truly unbelievable Christmas light display during December. If you want the ability to walk to Burton Park and downtown as well as be in the thick of the different holiday celebrations, Howard Park may be the place for you.
There are few negatives associated with Howard Park. Some of the lot sizes found in Howard Park can be undersized and create a little bit of a claustrophobic feeling. Additionally, some of the homes in Howard Park tend to be slightly older than its closest counterpart, the White Oaks Area. All in all, its tough to beat for those that want to be in “San Carlos Central”.
