The San Carlos Educational Foundation is ramping up its efforts to do everything possible to help San Carlos schools. SCEF has revamped its website and is conducting a full court press to do everything possible to help San Carlos schools. For those of you who don’t know, SCEF is a parent-run, non-profit organization that has proven itself to be the largest single supporter of San Carlos schools. They have a goal of raising 1.7 million dollars in 2010. The proceeds are used to help fund salaries of school staff as well as support many of the fantastic programs offered by San Carlos schools….many of which would not be possible without the financial help donated by SCEF. Having worked with some of the folks at SCEF, I can tell you that there is not a more dedicated and hardworking non-profit group in San Carlos. Once at the site, please click on “Donors” and “SCEF Shopping” to see promotions offered by local San Carlos merchants. This is a new program which will offer even more incentive for shoppers to support San Carlos schools and San Carlos merchants.

I’m a big supporter of San Carlos and its schools. I just donated to SCEF and I don’t even have school-aged children yet. The schools are a big part of what make San Carlos a great place to live. It’s fantastic that we have a community of parents, residents, and businesses that all band together to help support education.
